Original Postcard images are created a number of ways – by hand using archival ink, by hand as well as graphic-illustrator software on a top of the line Apple computer and by sticks and stones and wild organics from the trail (dirt). Some are inspired during the day’s hike and then rendered by visual memory that night at camp. Some are drawn on location, which lowers my daily mileage and then some are created out of thin air from life on the trail memories. All are fresh, original creations from the fresh, original mind of Postcard.
Final images are then printed on a high-resolution color laser on a heavy 65 lb, ultra-white paper stock for bright color vibrancy. Once prints pass inspection (doesn’t that sound official? I look them over), they receive the artists “postcard icon” signature in the lower right corner and dated.
